The mission of AS Tartu Maja Betoontooted is to be a valuable partner in the building market by offering up-to-date and diverse reinforced concrete solutions.

AS Tartu Maja Betoontooted started business in 1961. Through big changes the company has now been focused on the production of prefabricated concrete elements.

The production capacity of the 5.7 ha production complex is 70,000 m³ concrete products a year. With its 200 positions the company is a significant employer in the city of Tartu.

The products of AS Tartu Maja Betoontooted are mainly sold in the Estonian market, but it also exports its products to the Republics of Latvia and Lithuania. The company has operated in the market of the southern neighbours from the mid-1990s, initially exporting only hollow-core floor elements there. Since 2000 Latvia, especially the area of Riga, has been a very attractive market for us. The exported production has become more varied and forms about 25 % of the total sales.

In the years 2000 - 2006 the total turnover of AS Tartu Maja Betoontooted has increased from 4.5 million Euros to 22.2 million Euros and the profit has increased from 0.3 million Euros to 4.2 million Euros.

In 2005 the production activity of the company expanded to the Republic of Latvia. Up to 20,000 m³ of concrete products a year are produced in the production plant that is situated near Riga. Today, the company employs 70 people.
